How to download Streisand VPN

Check that the developer is ARCADIA ODYSSEY INC. before installing the app. However, in some markets, the app may not be available. Change the country or region of your Apple account if the app is not available in your App Store.

According to the official listing, Streisand requires iOS 14 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 14 or later on iPad. The same listing describes Streisand as a proxy client and says that users must create or purchase their own servers.

Where to get a Streisand key, subscription, or server

How to set up Streisand VPN on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

The screenshots in this walkthrough are taken on an iPhone. iPad uses the same setup flow and interface labels. On an Apple Silicon Mac, follow the same sequence inside the iPhone and iPad app. The wider Mac window may place a control in a slightly different position.

Step 1: Prepare your subscription or proxy details

Streisand needs a connection before it can start. You can use a subscription or server link from a compatible provider, scan a QR code, or prepare a SOCKS5 proxy in URL format.

If you already have a subscription or server key, copy the complete value. A supported key may begin with vless://, vmess://, trojan://, or ss://. Keep every character in the link.

Place the credentials into this URL format:

socks://USERNAME:PASSWORD@SERVER:PORT

For example, these fictional details:

• Server: 203.0.113.10

• Username: demo_user
• Password: demo_password

Create this link:

socks://demo_user:[email protected]:1080

Use the server, port, username, and password shown in your own dashboard. The example above will not connect.

Option B: 

You can also keep the four credential values separate and configure the proxy manually in the Stresand app. This avoids creating a URL and works better when the username or password contains characters such as @, :, /, or #.

Step 2: Import the connection into Streisand

Option A:

Use clipboard import for a subscription, individual server key, or prepared socks:// URL.

1. Copy the complete connection link.
2. Open Streisand.

Manual configuration is the simplest NodeMaven setup in Streisand because every value from the dashboard has a matching field. Select the saved profile before continuing to the connection step.

For a NodeMaven proxy, look for a new profile identified as Socks. If nothing appears, open the add menu again and check for a manual Socks option. Enter the NodeMaven server, port, username, and password into the matching fields.

Streisand lists Socks among its supported protocols, although clipboard handling can change between app versions. If the current version rejects the authenticated URL and has no manual entry screen, use the same NodeMaven credentials in Shadowrocket on iPhone, Proxifier on Windows or macOS, or SocksDroid on Android.

Step 3: Import a server with a QR code

Skip this step if you imported a URL from the clipboard or manually.

1. Display the provider’s QR code on another phone, tablet, or computer.
2. Open Streisand and tap +.
3. Select the QR scanning option.
4. Allow camera access.
5. Place the complete QR code inside the camera frame.
6. Save the imported profile if Streisand asks for confirmation.

If the QR code is stored on the same iPhone, check whether your Streisand version can import an image. Otherwise, display it on another screen and scan it from the app.

Step 4: Select a server and connect

Open the imported profile and select the server you want to use. A subscription may contain several locations, while a NodeMaven ISP proxy usually appears as one dedicated endpoint.

When several subscription servers are available, compare:

Step 5: Verify the IP address and location

Streisand VPN for PC and Android: what to use instead

Streisand does not currently offer an official Windows or Android app. You can still use a compatible subscription or standard proxy credentials through another client. Choose the client according to the format supplied by your provider.

Windows and macOS: use Proxifier

Proxifier accepts a proxy server, port, username, and password as separate values. It can route one selected application through the proxy while other desktop traffic keeps its regular connection.

Android and cross-device use: choose Happ or Hiddify

Happ works across common desktop and mobile platforms and is suited to compatible subscription-based configurations. The NodeMaven Happ proxy tutorial shows the current setup route.

Hiddify is another cross-platform client, but it is easiest when the provider supplies a compatible subscription or protocol link. Raw server credentials may require a prepared profile instead of four-field entry.

Android: use SocksDroid for direct SOCKS5 entry

SocksDroid is a shorter route when you already have a SOCKS5 server, port, username, and password. Follow the SocksDroid proxy setup to enter the values and start the Android connection.

Streisand VPN is not working: fixes by symptom

Start by checking how the profile was added. An imported subscription can fail because of a damaged or expired link. A manually configured Socks profile usually fails because the wrong protocol, server, port, username, or password was entered.

Streisand does not import the key, subscription, or Socks URL

• Copy the complete link again. Check the beginning for a protocol prefix such as vless://, trojan://, or socks://.
• Remove spaces added before or after the link.
• Confirm that the provider supports Streisand or one of the protocols listed by the app.
• Ask whether the link expired or reached a device limit.
• If iOS denied clipboard access, open Настройки, find Streisand, and allow pasting when the option is available.
• If you purchased proxy from NodeMaven, make sure your proxy is SOCKS5, not HTTP format. Contact support if you need help.

If an authenticated socks:// URL does not create a profile, tap +, выбрать Configure Manually, и выберите Носки или SOCKS5. Enter the server, port, username, and password in separate fields. This also avoids errors caused by special characters inside the URL.

A manually configured Socks profile does not connect

Open the saved profile and compare every field with the proxy dashboard:

• Enter only the number in the port field.
• Copy the username and password again without spaces.
• Check that authentication is enabled if Streisand shows a separate switch.

If the checker connects but Streisand does not, check the saved Streisand profile again. The proxy endpoint is working, so the error is likely in one of the manually entered fields.

Streisand connects, but websites do not load

• If you use a subscription, select another server from its list.
• Test the connection on mobile data and Wi-Fi.
• Disconnect any second VPN or network filter before reconnecting.
• Update the subscription if its server list may be outdated.
• Ask the provider whether the selected server remains online.

For a manually configured NodeMaven profile, reopen the Socks settings and recheck all four credentials. A copied space at the end of the username or password can break authentication.

Confirm that the profile uses Socks or SOCKS5 rather than HTTP.

The public IP does not change

Confirm that Streisand shows a connected state and that the intended profile is selected. Saving a manual profile does not start the connection automatically. You still need to select it and tap the connection button.

Close and reopen Safari after connecting, then check the public IP ещё раз.

If Safari shows the proxy IP but another application shows your regular IP, a routing rule may exclude that application or traffic type. Review Streisand’s routing settings and confirm that the manual Socks profile is the active outbound connection.

Streisand disconnects or has high latency

If you use a subscription, select another server in the same country and test the connection again. A low ping shown inside the app does not guarantee that the endpoint will remain stable under load.

Update Streisand through the App Store. If every server under one subscription fails, ask the provider whether its configuration changed.

For a manual NodeMaven profile, the same ISP IP should remain selected. Repeated disconnections call for a credential check and a separate proxy test.

Streisand disappeared from the App Store

App Store availability can vary by region. Use the direct official listing to check your storefront. Avoid random IPA downloads and shared Apple IDs from public websites.

If the official listing is unavailable, use a supported alternative client or change the region of your account. Compatible subscription links can be moved to Happ or Hiddify. Raw Socks credentials can be entered directly in Proxifier, Shadowrocket, or SocksDroid.
